Suicide is the third-leading cause of death for people aged 15-23. Yet it remains highly misunderstood and poorly treated in educational systems, mental health treatment, and within families. Suicidal thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are far more common than we understand. It is critical that we destigmatize mental health in general, but specifically around our conversations about suicide.
Dr. Zakreski will moderate a discussion with several young adults who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and behaviors.
