Welcome to the NJAGC Educator Page! Our goal is to support you and share ideas that are working in your gifted classroom and to network you with fellow G&T educators across the state. Since many of us work as the only teacher responsible for the well-being of the gifted children in our districts, we would like to become your professional learning community for innovative ideas. Also, we realize that many of you who are classroom teachers are responsible for addressing the needs of gifted children in your classrooms. Let us help you! One way to provide an opportunity to share ideas is through an Educator Exchange. It is easy to host and totally cost-free. All you need is a room and G&T teachers that are willing to “swap” ideas in an informal setting. Simply send flyers to neighboring schools and districts announcing where and when you plan to meet. Each participant is asked to bring twenty-five copies (depending on the number of teachers you anticipate attending) of his/her best idea (or screening process, or favorite web site—the topic is totally up to you!) When everyone arrives, simply take turns sharing. If twenty five people attend, each will leave with twenty five terrific ideas, and twenty five new friends. We invite you to contact us with your questions, suggestions and ideas.
