Each year, NJAGC presents four awards to those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of gifted education: Hall of Fame Award, Administrator of the Year Award, Educator of the Year Award, and Parent of the Year Award. This year, these awards will be presented at an Awards Celebration on Friday, March 9, 2012. The celebration will be held at the Crowne Plaza, Bridgewater/Somerset, New Jersey from 6:30-9:00 PM. Cost for this event is $35.00 per person and includes dinner, compliments of NJAGC. Participants will also be eligible to receive Professional Development certificates.

Complete the correct form and send with supporting data including:
- Letters of recommendation, honors, publications, presentations, a resume, etc.
- Nominee should be or become an NJAGC member (except the Hall of Fame & Administrator).
- Documentation should show evidence to support the criteria listed below.
Hall of Fame Award -- Application
Criteria for the Hall of Fame Award include:
- Exemplary and/or innovative contributions cvcof time and effort in support of gifted children in New Jersey
- Demonstrated commitment to gifted education and/or children
- Consistent advocacy for gifted children
- Leadership in gifted, involvement at local, state and/or national level
Educator Award -- Application
Criteria for the Educator Award include:
- Consistent advocacy for gifted education
- Exemplary and/or innovative contributions of time and effort in support of gifted children in New Jersey
- Instructional or educational contribution to gifted education locally, statewide, or nationally
- • Implementation of a successful gifted and talented program
Parent Award -- Application
Criteria for the Parent Award include:
- • Exemplary and/or innovative contributions of time and effort in support of gifted children in New Jersey
- • Involvement in local, statewide, or national parents' support groups/organizations
- • Consistent advocacy for gifted children
Administrator Award -- Application
Criteria for the Administrator Award include:
- Three years of experience as an administrator (in any districts)
- Must be a current adminsitrator in a school district in NewJersey
- Examples of sustained effort in support of gifted children, teachers of gifted learners, classroom teachers and parents of gifted children
